Anterior deprogrammer

Anterior Deprogrammer Splint

The anterior deprogrammer is a flat plane occlusal splint with an anterior acrylic block designed to disclude the posterior teeth. Since the body has a protective reflex to prevent added pressure to the anterior teeth when this splint is worn less pressure is exerted.  This appliance is recommended from patients with heavy bruxism and TMJ pain.
