Lower Lingual Holding Arch

The Lower Lingual Holding Arch Appliance is used to stabilize the position of the lower molars and anterior incisors after phase I treatment. It can be used in conjunction with the Halterman attachment to aid in the eruption of compacted molars.  Spurs can also be welded to engage the distal of the laterals as well as adjustment loops. This appliance can be manufactured from your 3D scan.

This appliance can be removable with lingual sheaths or using Wilson™ 3D attachments.

If removable is can also be activated in order to obtain molar movements in all planes of space.

Treatment & Care

Clean the lower lingual holding arch appliance every day with toothpaste and a soft toothbrush, morning and night. Encourage the patient to give sufficient time to clean thoroughly around the appliance, gums, teeth, and bands to maintain proper hygiene and prevent inflammation. 3 minutes is recommended.
